Good...But could have been better5
I have been a long time fan of Enrique Iglesias. Ever since 2001 when Escape came out I knew I would be a huge fan. I just got such a great high listening to that music. Naturally I went out and bought his previous english album, and all the ones after that.
I Was excited when I heard news of a Greatest Hits Album. Having heard all his Studio albums in full I can say i'm also a bit dissapointed, since there were so many hidden gems that didn't even become singles, songs like "Roamer", "Love 4 Fun", "If The World Crashes Down", "Sad Eyes", "Your My #1" or "Ring My Bells" (Don't Worry. I'm not crazy, Enrique's Hardcore fans will know what i'm talking about).
But as for the casual fan This compilation is all you'll ever need, since it has all the singles on it from Enrique's MTV hey day (Escape Era) and then some....They're all here from the signature hits "Hero", "Bailamos", "Be With You", "Escape", "Do You Know"...to the other hit singles "Love To See You Cry", "Rhythm Divine", "Addicted" ect.
The reason I feel this could have been better is if "Ring My Bells" had been on this collection (IT'S THE SONG FROM THE TRUE STAR COMMERCIAL, SO CHECK IT OUT IF YOU CAN), but then again it wasn't a single, so Why would it be on this album? This collection appears to be just for the casual listeners, as they might not own any of his Studio Albums. As I said if you're a casual listener of Enrique, this is the only CD You need to own, still it would have been nice if Interscope had put some more hits on here. There's room for more, since this CD is pretty short for a Greatest Hits clocking in at only 66 Minutes, but still it's a decent summary of Enrique's hits from the last Decade, and anyone more than a casual listener will probably own his albums anway, and might just buy this for the 2 New tracks. The new single "Away" is great, and "Takin' Back my Love" with Ciara is catchy, once you give it a listen or two.
Fans of this album would also do well to pick up "95/08" (his Spanish Language Greatest Hits Album) if you're just getting into Enrique, This is the Album to Start off with.

at their best, preferabbly the singles, however "7" and "Insomniac" leave something to be desired. If youre a casual fan it won't matter much though. All the singles are here. Buy it for the songs from his first 2 albums, and the new tracks.

Peace . Out.

Reintroducing Enrique3
Back in the late 90's, we've seen a huge Latin explosion in the music industry. While there have been acts that have been more about hyppe, and less of heart and soul like Jennifer Lopez, who hasn't really been a credible singer lately, or Ricky Martin, who hasn't really made an English pop album in years who just made everyone say they were Livin' La Vida Loca so much, others made it because of their family bonds. That was the case with Enrique Iglesias. His family has had a enormous career with singing because of the triumphs of his father Julio, and his sibling Julio Iglesias Jr., who has a moderate career in English a few years ago. But, it is hard to believe that it has been nearly 10 years, and Enrique has been the last Latin crossoverof the 90's act standing today. Now, his English music career is celebrated with a new hits collection.

Enrique Iglesias 2008 Greatest Hits, is a single disc reflection of his biggest ballads and seducing women to dance, that spans his 1st decade of success. The collection is noble, and a simple reintroduction to what he has brought to the table. The songs have all been remastered well, and include his boldest songs. All the hits are here from his seductive dance smashes like Bailamos and Rhythm Divine, to his intimate ballads such as Hero and the overlooked and seductive Could I Have This Kiss Forever with Whitney Houston. There are a few new songs here that really lack a bit of chemistry though, that miss the mark by a longshot including Away with Sean Garrett, and Takin' back My Love with Ciara, which feels like it is lacking soul and heart. That is something you haven't yet heard from Enrique, and that makes the new songs feel more like a turnoff than a starter for love and games in bed.

Still, despite those new tracks which feel more like a drag than seductive starters, Enrique Iglesias Greatest Hits isn't a bad buy for hard core fans, but mostly could've had a bit more for those who haven't yet heard any of his standards at all. While it isn't a bad purchase, I just was honestly hoping for a bit more to say that the rhythm was more divine to.

Great Music, bad artwork5
Enrique Iglesias, Is by far my Favorite Male Performer I was so excited to hear of a greatest hits package.
The music as always from Enrique is the Best, But being that I am a creative person I have to say you can tell the record company through the package together very quickly. The pictures of Enrique Are very good but, the CD itself is plain White no artistry at all and the booklet, dull no lyrics.
I already know the lyrics but to have them included would of been nice , and the chart positions would have been nice to see. this booklet is very thin with just pics and a tracklist, very boring. and the cover could have been better as well.
With Enriques awsome talent he deserves better than a quick thrown together CD.

SO OVERALL: MUSIC ***** 5 STARS
ARTWORK: ** 2 STARS
