It's very simple. If you like Bill Engvall's past albums you will Like this album. If you don't, you won't.
If you've never heard his routine then....He's a funny guy and his style of humor won't embarrass you if your saintly grandmother walks in while you're listening to him. I will say that the DVD version is probably better and I will be ordering it when it comes available. There are one or two places in his routine where the audience is laughing at what he is doing, facial expressions etc, rather than what he is saying so, as is true for most comedians, to get the full benefit of his show you really need to be able to see it.
Not a grand slam but still a homerun.
Okay, is this Bill's best? I'm not sure. I think I'd have to say "no", BUT, it's still worth getting, in my opinion. I got a lot of laughs out of it and I know I'll be listening to it for years.
Maybe I'm just a little too close to Bill's age, know what I mean? A lot of this material makes me think, "Yeah, pal, I'm right there with ya." OR "Hmmm, that's gonna be me......ah....real soon." There's no, "Here's Your Sign" material and THAT'S OKAY. (Move along people, move along.)
Yes, I WILL be getting the DVD when it comes out (Nov. 24 according to Amazon). Another highly enjoyable project Bill. Keep 'em comin'.
This will NOT be enjoyed by those who need profanity every three words or by those who need to hear how much our country sucks or how their parents didn't love them and all that standard nonsense most comedians come out with. Bill won't let you down.
Aged and confused
Funny as all of his CD are! I think we are the same age as we seem to be going throuhg the same thing. Regardless of your age, You will find this funny. Great for the whole family on really long trips.
